Material Planner

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY XI'AN POWER CAPACITOR CO., LTD is looking for a Material Planner in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. The role covers maintaining accurate master data, running MRP and inventory control, and improving material planning reliability so that products are delivered on time to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, correct and troubleshoot master data exceptions, keep SAP master data accurate and MRP running normally, and manage inventory controls and inventory reduction programs
• Manage the planning and purchasing procedure, including on-time delivery and inventory control
• Drive material management performance through continuous improvement, forecast BOM and purchasing optimisation, and transfer forecasts to suppliers and GBS to achieve just-in-time supply
• Perform material ATP checks within two working days for urgent inquiries, follow up new materials and EDN/workflows, and set, review and optimise MRP parameters (ABC/XYZ or demand plus variability thresholds) using the MRP Monitor and Inventory Cockpit
• Analyse slow-moving stock, set up scrap or recycling processes for leftover stock, run open PO ageing analysis and act as SAP MM Key User
• Use automation tools to optimise the material planning process and ensure compliance with external and internal regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• More than 2 years of material planning experience in a plant
• Good teamwork and collaboration with international teams, strong learning ability, detail-oriented and analytical

Required skills

• Extensive operational experience in SAP MM/PP modules
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Familiarity with Power BI and Python
• Statistics and data analysis
