Manager IV, Customer Engineer – FEP/EPI

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a senior Manager IV to lead customer engineering activities in Guangzhou, overseeing service agreements, start‑ups, and warranty operations for semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast financial, manpower and operational requirements for start‑up, warranty and service agreement businesses.
• Identify and pursue service agreement opportunities in collaboration with marketing and sales.
• Manage start‑up projects, controlling time and cost, and oversee local inventories and RMA procedures.
• Maintain Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) targets and manage system start‑up and warranty costs under reserve.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with service and system performance, escalating issues per procedure.
• Interview, hire, train and develop customer engineers to support regional business.
• Promote quality improvement processes to reduce cycle time and drive continuous technical performance.
