Manager, Global Communications

About the role

Tencent, a leading internet and technology company founded in 1998 with headquarters in Shenzhen, China, is hiring a Manager, Global Communications. The role works closely with game business teams to coordinate and support their overseas communication needs, including strategy, materials and international projects, and to monitor and manage media relations.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with game business teams, helping coordinate and support overseas communication needs such as communication strategies, materials and international communication projects
• Track and monitor overseas media and game media coverage, help build and maintain media relations and handle media inquiries
• Follow domestic and international game industry trends and policy directions, and work with legal and public affairs teams to give communication advice and support

Required profile

• 5+ years of PR and communications experience, bachelor's degree or above, in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field
• Experience in international companies or international PR firms preferred
• Media experience preferred; overseas study or work experience preferred
• Good knowledge of the game industry and game media preferred
