Maintenance Engineer – Intelligent Maintenance

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep and intelligent optimisation of machines used in the fuel‑cell business. The role focuses on ensuring equipment runs efficiently, quickly resolving technical issues, and driving the transition from traditional to predictive, data‑driven maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain main KPI for assigned machines and conduct regular malfunction reviews.
• Lead problem‑solving for critical failures using PLC software for deep fault diagnosis and program optimisation.
• Drive machine performance stabilisation through data‑driven analysis and digitalisation initiatives.
• Define, track and manage spare parts, including localisation projects and alternative solutions when parts are unavailable.
• Record and analyse equipment failure data to propose predictive‑maintenance improvements.
• Develop maintenance competence, train team members and promote digital maintenance awareness.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for timely repairs and technical support.
• Participate in TPM activities, prepare PDCA reports and update preventive‑maintenance items.
• Support planning, specification definition and interconnectivity requirements for new investment machines.

Required profile

• Experience in maintenance of industrial equipment, preferably in fuel‑cell or powertrain environments.
• Proven ability to use PLC programming for fault diagnosis and optimisation.
• Strong analytical mindset for data‑driven performance improvement.
• Capability to manage spare‑parts logistics and localisation projects.
• Willingness to train colleagues and share knowledge within the team.
