LiBr Product R&D Engineer - Absorption Chiller

About the role

JCI is looking for a LiBr product R&D engineer to lead the development and introduction of absorption chillers and heat pumps. The role covers technical solutions, reliability verification, design coordination with manufacturing and compliance with quality and EHS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development and introduction technical and management initiatives according to the PDP and related processes.
• Develop the package chiller's technical solution and reliability verification plan, and track product quality while driving continuous improvement of existing products.
• Optimize design procedures and methods to improve design efficiency, and coordinate with manufacturing plants during pilot, production and testing.
• Identify and solve production issues and handle major technical issues, collaborating with related departments.
• Monitor market requirements and technology trends, drive technology research, and lead the engineering review of SQ orders.
• Schedule design plans according to contract requirements, deliver technical documents on time and ensure designs meet domestic and international standards and customer needs.
• Support SQ quotations and special applications, and lead absorption chiller and heat pump design work.
• Mentor engineers and draftsmen, guide their design work and strengthen their technical capabilities.
• Follow company ethics, regulations and quality requirements, execute EHS regulations, identify hazards and take rectification measures, and complete temporary assignments from the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in thermal energy and power engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in product development of absorption chillers and heat pumps.
• Good problem analysis and solving techniques, and strong organization, coordination and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Good absorption chiller and heat pump design skills.
• Familiarity with related technologies, products and technical standards.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software.
