Laboratory Technician – Chemical Production

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to operate a pilot reactor, record experiments, and ensure safety and quality in a chemical production environment. The role supports the laboratory head by delivering reliable data and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Key responsibilities

• Run the pilot reactor in the laboratory and keep detailed experimental records.
• Verify safety performance and equipment operability according to HUNTSMAN security, EHS rules, and local regulations.
• Analyze results and prepare reports following standard procedures or specific guidance from the lab head.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor, including travel for training and support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in chemical technology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a chemical laboratory or production setting, preferably in a joint‑venture or foreign‑funded enterprise.
• Knowledge of chemical raw materials, additives, finished products, and production processes, with a focus on PU (polyurethane) technology.
• Strong awareness of EHS and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
