Junior Software Engineer (.NET & Angular) – Shanghai

About the role

As a member of Tesla’s software development team in Shanghai, you will help build and maintain core IT applications that support manufacturing, supply chain, charging infrastructure, delivery, and customer service. This is an entry‑level position designed for recent graduates eager to work on high‑impact, globally‑distributed software projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Design and develop scalable, stable, and secure .NET‑based services and Angular front‑end components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, charging, delivery, operations) to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code; contribute to unit and integration testing.
• Support automation testing, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous delivery improvements.
• Work effectively within a globally distributed engineering team, adapting to different time zones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, eagerness to learn, and good English communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• C# programming language.
• .NET platform (e.g..NET Core.NET 6+).
• ASP.NET Core web framework.
• Relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and SQL.
• RESTful API design and HTTP protocols.
• Git version control.
• Frontend frameworks such as Angular (experience with React or Vue is a plus).
• Basic understanding of unit testing, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is advantageous.
