Import/Export Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Import/Export Logistics Specialist will ensure that all export shipments and related documentation comply with customs regulations. Acting as a liaison with customs authorities, the role supports efficient border crossings and drives cost‑saving initiatives across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Validate export shipments and documentation against applicable customs laws.
• Serve as primary contact with customs offices and resolve compliance issues.
• Collect, analyze, and report logistics data to identify trends and cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Select and evaluate carriers for product shipments, managing freight cost analysis.
• Interface with customers to confirm billing information and resolve invoicing queries.
• Lead process development and re‑engineering for border‑crossing procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to supply‑chain, procurement, and program‑management teams on best logistics practices.
• Collaborate with Celestica management to maintain compliance with internal logistics processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing environments and material handling processes.
• Expert understanding of traffic and customs regulations.
• Excellent analytical, financial, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Proven problem‑solving skills using statistical or financial models.
