Import & Export Specialist – International Logistics

About the role

We are looking for an Import & Export Specialist to ensure smooth international delivery of vehicles and parts for our RD China operations. The role focuses on optimizing transport, cost efficiency, and compliance with global trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end import and export operations, providing professional logistics solutions for internal customers.
• Coordinate with German shipping centers, overseas and domestic transport providers, and brokers to arrange air, rail, and sea shipments.
• Perform HS classification for all shipments, review broker inputs, and maintain system documentation for audit readiness.
• Handle customs audits, inspections, and daily risk‑control activities, ensuring timely duty and tax payments.
• Implement export‑control guidelines, work with HQ Export Control Office and regional hubs, and develop effective control tools.
• Continuously improve import/export processes, benchmark transportation performance, and drive cost‑analysis and budgeting.
• Conduct user trainings, manage supplier KPIs, and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• University degree in Logistics Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, international trade, or customs compliance.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, international transportation policies, and general supply‑chain processes.
• Excellent communication skills, logical thinking, and a high sense of responsibility.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; German is a plus.
