About the role
Bosch is looking for a Group Manager to lead a high‑performing software and system engineering team focused on power‑electronics for the global automotive market. Based in China, you will work closely with global development groups to deliver cutting‑edge solutions that improve mobility and quality of life worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Build and scale an engineering organization in China that delivers automotive power‑electronics projects in partnership with global teams.
- Lead, coach and mentor a group of specialized software and system engineers, fostering technical excellence.
- Define target competencies, conduct skill assessments and implement development plans.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, performance dialogues, and administrative tasks.
- Own resource planning to ensure projects are staffed with the right expertise at the right time.
- Guarantee the technical quality of all deliverables, providing coaching on complex challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering methods, tools and processes.
- Support new business acquisitions and act as a technical advisor for ongoing projects.
- Maintain ownership of key architectural artifacts such as SW/SYS requirement specifications and overall architecture.
- Lead review processes and serve as the primary technical authority for the SW/SYS domain.
Required profile
- Master’s or equivalent degree in Electrical, System or Software Engineering with a focus on power‑electronics.
- Extensive experience in power‑electronics development within the automotive sector.
- Proven line‑management experience, including disciplinary leadership, team development and budget responsibility.
- Deep expertise in software and system architecture and the full development lifecycle for automotive power‑electronics.
- Strong knowledge of requirements analysis and functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
