3rd Party Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

3M is seeking a qualified Quality Engineer to manage third‑party manufacturing quality. You will ensure that vendors meet our quality standards and support new product introductions while serving marquee customers.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify vendor Quality Management Systems (QMS) and oversee NPI qualification.
• Govern CMP processes and review vendor quality control documentation.
• Monitor implementation of quality procedures and verify vendor output performance.
• Address marquee customer quality inquiries, resolve problems, and manage SCARs.
• Handle customer complaints when they arise.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering or related roles.
• Experience in vendor management and serving high‑profile customers is preferred.
• Strong scientific and logical thinking abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently for business.
• Fluent oral English (CET‑6 or higher).
