About the role
Gain, a global private‑markets platform, is seeking a freelance Investment Research Analyst to support its China coverage. You will work remotely on a project basis, delivering high‑quality analytical insights that help private‑equity clients evaluate and execute deals.
Key responsibilities
- Company profiling: collect and process financial statements, synthesize business, market and M&A track‑record overviews.
- Deal opportunity mapping: identify platform and add‑on acquisition targets for leading PE funds using Gain’s proprietary technology.
- Sector research: contribute to niche industry analyses and regular research initiatives.
- Platform insights: provide feedback on data quality and support ad‑hoc projects to improve platform efficiency.
Required profile
- Recent graduate holding a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
