Fixed Asset Accountant

About the role

The Fixed Asset Accountant supports the accurate and timely accounting of the company's fixed assets, reporting to the Assistant Manager. The role covers day-to-day fixed asset transactions, reconciliations and reports in line with accounting standards and internal controls, and helps optimise processes within the fixed asset management and financial reporting function.

Key responsibilities

• Record fixed asset transactions (acquisitions, disposals, transfers, capitalisation) in line with company policy and accounting standards
• Perform fixed asset ledger reconciliations and help prepare month-end and year-end schedules and reports
• Support physical verification of assets and maintain accurate records
• Review asset purchase contracts and related documents for completeness and compliance with procurement policies
• Collaborate with the Assistant Manager on impairment reviews and track asset lifecycle information
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
• Maintain records in the fixed asset management system and ERP platform
• Take part in ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred
• Familiarity with IFRS and HKFRS is advantageous
• Strong verbal and written communication, detail-oriented and able to work independently and meet deadlines
