Financial Accounting Team Leader

About the role

ABB is looking for a Financial Accounting Team Leader in Shanghai, reporting to the Finance Manager. The role leads the accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP) and tax functions, defines their responsibilities and standards, and ensures the team delivers financial work on time and accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, train and manage the AR, AP and tax functions; define job responsibilities and assessment standards for each position; set daily work processes and operation norms.
• Coordinate daily tasks, allocate resources, supervise progress and quality, and resolve issues so that all financial work is completed on time and accurately.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, set clear goals, give regular feedback and support career growth.
• Promote automation and digitalisation of processes using tools such as Power BI, Power Automate and Power Query, and improve reporting, planning and analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, tax or a related major.
• More than 5 years of relevant financial experience, including more than 3 years of team management.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and driven by process improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in US GAAP and Chinese accounting standards.
• Knowledge of fiscal and tax regulations.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate and Power Query.
