Field Service Engineer - GIS Products

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY HIGH VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR (XIAMEN) COMPANY LIMITED is looking for a Field Service Engineer in Xiamen, Fujian, China. The role covers on-site installation and commissioning of GIS products, customer training, project planning and equipment maintenance, within Hitachi Energy's service portfolio covering install, commission, upgrade, repair, extend, replace and decommission.

Key responsibilities

• Complete on-site installation and commissioning of GIS products and deliver on-site customer training independently
• Implement safety rules, safety practices and environmental responsibilities, and report unsafe practices and behaviour
• Compile the project implementation plan and organise site work according to it
• Provide the project site plan and reach agreement with customers
• Share product knowledge and experience with colleagues to improve the one-time pass rate
• Develop and implement equipment maintenance plans according to customer needs
• Proactively suggest improvements to products and quality
• Understand the technical contract service contents, identify service risks and opportunities
• Apply digital tools and data to support customer interaction, service execution and issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and follow company rules

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
• Good practical ability, careful attitude and willingness to study technology
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Good listening, speaking, reading and writing in English
