About the role
The Escort is responsible for the safe transportation of dangerous chemicals, ensuring continuous monitoring and compliance with safety procedures throughout the journey.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor dangerous chemicals during transport and ensure they remain under surveillance.
- Participate in safety training, meetings, and learn emergency response measures for hazardous goods.
- Inspect goods regularly for leaks, packaging damage, or abnormal temperature and pressure.
- Supervise driver behavior, preventing speeding, fatigue driving, and use of illegal routes.
- Oversee loading and unloading personnel to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Safely store and correctly use personal protective equipment, protective supplies, and emergency gear.
- Assist drivers with road observation, reversing instructions, and pre‑ and post‑departure vehicle inspections.
- Report any safety hazards promptly to the supervisor and perform other tasks as assigned.
