About the role

Western Academy of Beijing seeks an enthusiastic Elementary School PYP Homeroom Teacher to join a collaborative five‑teacher homeroom team. The role focuses on delivering inquiry‑based learning for upper‑elementary students, fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum using the PYP inquiry framework, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Collaborate with grade‑level leaders, subject specialists, EAL, Learning Support, Gifted and Counseling staff on unit planning and assessment.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, including conferences and progress updates.
• Contribute to extra‑curricular programs and participate in school committees and development meetings.
• Assess student learning, record data, and produce timely reports for the Grade Level Leader.
