About the role

The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is seeking a Distinguished Professor to join its talent recruitment program. This senior academic position is aimed at leaders who can drive frontier research and maintain internationally advanced standards within their discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop cutting‑edge research projects that achieve or sustain world‑class levels.
• Mentor graduate students and junior researchers, fostering a high‑impact research environment.
• Collaborate with national scientific facilities, key laboratories, and research centers affiliated with UCAS.
• Contribute to the university’s strategic goals of integrating scientific research with teaching.

Required profile

• Age 55 or under.
• Demonstrated ability to lead research that reaches internationally advanced levels in frontier areas.
• Active involvement in original research and key technology development within the relevant field.
• Strong publication record and recognition in the scientific community.
