DevOps Engineer – Remote (Intermediate)

About the role

Remote People is building the infrastructure that powers borderless teams, handling payroll, benefits, taxes and compliance for global hiring. We are looking for an intermediate DevOps Engineer to keep our SaaS platform reliable, scalable and observable while enabling engineering squads to ship with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure availability, reliability and security of the SaaS platform across all environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, safe, self‑service releases for engineering squads.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement and improve observability tooling (metrics, logs, traces) so squads can understand system behaviour.
• Monitor platform capacity, forecast resource needs and proactively address performance issues.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive preventive actions.
• Support squads in integrating services smoothly within the platform.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate automation scripting while validating generated output.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Go.
• Effective written communication and reliable asynchronous collaboration in a remote environment.
