Senior Systems Engineer - Automotive

About the role

NXP is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for its automotive systems engineering and marketing organization in Chongqing. The new organization aims to become the trusted partner, advisor and provider of customer vehicle architectures and system innovation. The role takes part in the CoreRide project for production-ready ECU development and in projects prototyping new vehicle architecture ideas and creating reference designs for NXP's customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and design reference solutions for systems and application software in automotive applications such as gateway, central computing, domain controller, zonal controller and ECU.
• Collaborate with NXP global teams to create vehicle system solutions or support new product enablement.
• Support both China and global customers on NXP automotive products.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in automotive electronics, microelectronics, computer science, EE, software or another relevant technical major.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive OEMs, automotive Tier 1 suppliers, semiconductors, automotive software vendors or related industries.
• Good interpersonal communication skills, able to work with multiple internal teams globally and with customers, and good presentation skills for complex technical topics.
• Good spoken and written Chinese and English.

Required skills

• C/C++ and ARM assembly programming.
• Knowledge of automotive technology, vehicle EE architecture, Linux, AUTOSAR, TSN, security and functional safety.
• Knowledge of microprocessor or microcontroller architecture.
• Preferred: Linux internals, device drivers, networking, multicore, kernel, virtualization, RTOS, Ethernet, TSN, TCP/IP, routers and switches, ECU/gateway/CCU/VCU systems, energy distribution, DCDC, eFuse, eSwitch, and hardware design experience.
