Customer Planner

About the role

The Customer Planner is responsible for translating demand signals into actionable supply plans, ensuring optimal material utilization and uninterrupted production. This role collaborates closely with global supply chain teams, sales, and product management to maintain accurate forecasts and drive procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Work with global SCM/PLM to capture demand visibility and order placement requirements.
• Partner with sales, business development, and product line teams to maintain a rolling forecast.
• Monitor demand trends and adjust forecasts proactively.
• Assess realistic delivery dates based on customer demand, material availability, and capacity.
• Create purchase requisitions aligned with actual orders and forecasts.
• Coordinate with production planners to align schedules with customer requirements.
• Identify potential material shortages and develop mitigation plans.
• Develop and track KPIs for inventory turns, lead‑time performance, and slow‑moving stock.
• Support additional optimization projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, computer science, purchasing management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and company safety policies.
• High sense of responsibility, self‑motivation and ability to work across multiple locations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
