Controller / Finance Manager

About the role

The Controller will act as the critical business partner for the plant director and regional financial director, ensuring accurate month‑end closing, robust reporting, and effective financial planning for a manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end closing, upload data to BFC, and prepare financial packages with variance analysis against budget.
• Collaborate with the CSC team to review balance sheets, clean long‑aged items, and assess risks and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly rolling forecasts, cash forecasts, and standard‑cost updates to support pricing competitiveness.
• Drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business outlook and strategic goals.
• Serve as a business partner, providing insights to improve performance, lower product cost, and enhance gross margin.
• Maintain internal controls, support statutory audits, and manage annual tax filings.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and support cross‑functional plant projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting.
• 3‑5 years of controlling or FP&A experience in a foreign manufacturing environment; automotive experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supply‑chain management.
• Knowledge of China GAAP, IFRS, and financial statement reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills in both Chinese and English.

Required skills

• Proficient in SAP FICO.
• Experience with Quik Sense or BFC reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
