Computer Science Teacher (Pre‑K to Grade 12)

About the role

BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is hiring a Computer Science Teacher to join its new campus opening in fall 2026. You will inspire students from Pre‑K through Grade 12, introducing foundational computing concepts and guiding them toward success in AP examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver STEAM‑focused lessons covering coding, 3D modeling, robotics, electrical engineering, multimedia and productivity tools.
• Encourage a designer’s perspective to solve real‑world challenges and integrate cross‑subject connections.
• Build strong, personalized relationships with each student to support academic growth and personal responsibility.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, collaborate with colleagues worldwide, and contribute to a positive school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field (Elementary/Early Education degrees valued for Pre‑K‑5).
• Minimum two years of lead classroom teaching experience (required for visa eligibility).
• Strong ICT‑CS skills with a background in Design/Technology teaching and familiarity with ISTE standards (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with block‑based coding platforms.
• Use of 3D modeling software.
• Robotics and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Multimedia and productivity tool expertise.
• Understanding of CSTA standards.
