China Security Officer

About the role

We are seeking a China Security Officer to lead compliance with China‑specific cybersecurity and data protection regulations, act as the main liaison with local regulators, and align our regional security strategy with global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Chinese cybersecurity laws, including MLPS 2.0 classification, filing and audits.
• Collaborate with Legal and Group Information Security to interpret regulatory changes and implement actionable controls and policies.
• Align China’s cybersecurity strategy with global frameworks such as ISO 27001 while addressing localization requirements.
• Select, implement and optimise local security tools and services (monitoring tools, SIEM, SOC, etc.) for the China region.
• Coordinate with IT/OT teams across manufacturing sites to collect, parse and normalise logs from network devices, security products, servers and endpoints.
• Report China cyber‑risk posture and mitigation actions to headquarters in Denmark and regional teams.
• Oversee local security operations and support incident response, providing technical analysis as needed.
• Assist customers with security enquiries during the contracting process.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity compliance, preferably within China.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cyber‑security regulations (MLPS 2.0) and international standards (ISO 27001).
• Proven ability to work with regulators and act as a primary liaison.
• Excellent coordination skills with IT/OT and cross‑functional teams.
• Senior‑level expertise in incident response and security operations.
