About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Business & Economics Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction across the National Curriculum, A‑Level, IGCSE and IBDP programmes. The successful candidate will inspire secondary‑school students, foster deep subject understanding, and connect classroom learning to real‑world contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards and progression pathways.
• Set clear learning objectives, targets and expectations for all students.
• Identify and support students with special educational needs or gifted abilities, maintaining appropriate records.
• Employ varied teaching methods to stimulate curiosity, encourage questioning and maintain classroom momentum.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Prepare informative reports for parents and communicate student achievements.
• Relate academic content to real‑life and work‑related examples.
• Continuously develop professional knowledge and evaluate personal teaching effectiveness.

Required profile

• Comprehensive knowledge of Business and Economics curricula (National Curriculum, A‑Level, IGCSE, IBDP).
• Ability to address common student misconceptions and answer subject‑specific queries.
• Experience identifying and supporting SEN and gifted learners.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to high behavioural standards.
• Professional conduct that models expectations for students.
