Big Data Development Engineer Intern

About the role

Tencent's Corporate Development Group (CDG) is looking for an intern to join its Big Data Development team. CDG acts as a platform for new business incubation and exploration, supporting areas such as fintech, advertising and marketing services, and also supports strategic planning, investments, investor relations and corporate communications. The role focuses on data reporting and data flows for overseas advertising.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data reports for overseas developers and set up overseas advertising data indicators.
• Develop the data flow of the overseas advertising system and maintain the data system.
• Work with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into data engineering solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and performance across the data infrastructure.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related major.
• Strong coding ability, with at least one programming language such as Scala, Python, C++, Go or Java.
• Familiarity with the Linux operating system and practical hands-on experience.
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role involves meetings and written reviews with global teams and Chinese headquarters stakeholders.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, able to handle stress, with good communication, learning and problem-solving skills.
