Backend Engineer – Enterprise Platform

About the role

Deloitte Digital is seeking an experienced backend engineer to build and maintain enterprise‑level platforms that support internal client systems. The role focuses on delivering stable, high‑performance services while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across China.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate enterprise backend platforms ensuring stability and efficiency.
• Deliver customized solutions on schedule, meeting diverse internal business needs.
• Analyze and optimize system performance to improve response times and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on requirements, architecture, and implementation details.
• Investigate and resolve system incidents to maintain reliability.
• Monitor emerging technology trends and propose innovations for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–8 years of backend development experience with large‑scale, complex systems.
• Strong ability to integrate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Deep understanding of web development technologies.
• Experience with I/O, multithreading, distributed systems, caching, and messaging mechanisms.
• Solid Linux command‑line skills.
• Knowledge of MySQL or other mainstream relational databases.
