About the role

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking an Assistant Professor to develop and lead a research programme in sustainability and governance. The role combines high‑impact research, external funding generation, and teaching within a triple‑accredited business school.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute an ambitious individual and collaborative research agenda in sustainability and governance.
• Publish high‑quality articles in leading international, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Present research findings at conferences and other scholarly venues.
• Develop innovative research proposals to secure external funding.
• Build partnerships with academic institutions, policy bodies, industry, and third‑sector organisations.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum development.

Required profile

• Demonstrated excellence in scholarly research related to sustainability and governance.
• Ability to attract and manage external research income.
• Strong record of publishing in top‑tier international journals.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across academia, policy, industry, and NGOs.
