Arts Teaching Assistant (Tier 2) – Middle & High School

About the role

The Western Academy of Beijing is seeking a local national Arts Teaching Assistant (Tier 2) to support Middle and High School (MSHS) arts classes. The role begins immediately and involves close collaboration with teachers, students, and parents to foster a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering small‑group instruction for arts subjects.
• Support individual or group learning activities, including reading, math, and differentiated arts projects.
• Manage classroom equipment, materials, bulletin boards, displays, and Moodle sites.
• Supervise students during assemblies, emergency drills, field trips, and transitions between classes.
• Perform administrative tasks such as preparing teaching materials, typing, photocopying, laminating, printing, and filing.
• Provide general assistance to teachers as directed.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Initiative‑driven and able to work independently under supervision.
• High school certificate or college degree.
