Architect – Buildings (Open to Expat)

About the role

The Architect Buildings will lead the Buildings Architecture discipline for the ABSHERON EPSCC Project Onshore Central Process Facility (CPF). This senior position oversees design, construction and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with TotalEnergies standards and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver robust, traceable and fit‑for‑purpose building architecture designs for procurement, fabrication, transport, installation and operation.
• Review and challenge contractor architectural designs, calculations, layouts and technical solutions to optimise cost, safety and compliance.
• Promote a strong HSE culture in line with the Company Code of Conduct and Safe System of Work.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor architecture activities against project schedules, quality requirements and execution plans.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over phases.
• Handle technical queries, engineering clarifications, deviation requests, shop drawings, installation methodologies and change requests.
• Coordinate daily workload within the architecture team, ensuring competency and resource availability.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a leadership position with managerial responsibilities.
• 10–15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong background in detailed engineering and major project execution.
• Proven capability in contractor management, multidisciplinary coordination, risk assessment and project delivery.
