Academic Lead – Teaching, Mentoring & Curriculum Development

About the role

The Academic Lead will oversee teaching excellence and academic mentoring across multiple subjects for Blue Education’s high‑performing student cohort. Based in either London or Shanghai, you will combine classroom delivery with curriculum design, family consulting and tutor leadership to help students secure places at top universities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, student‑centred teaching and academic guidance in the assigned subject area.
• Design and continuously improve curriculum, learning materials and assessment strategies.
• Develop personalised academic plans, monitor progress and prepare students for admissions tests, interviews and written work.
• Communicate regularly with families, providing educational consulting and strategic advice.
• Lead and support subject tutors, ensuring consistent high teaching standards.
• Contribute to programme development, data‑driven improvement and academic growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Outstanding graduate from Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, Ivy League or other top global university.
• Passion for teaching, academic mentoring and guiding high‑achieving students toward elite university pathways.
• Excellent communication skills with students, families and internal teams.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of students and drive measurable academic progress.
