VP Business Consulting Lead – China

About the role

Veeva is seeking a senior leader to head its Business Consulting practice in China. Based in Shanghai, the VP will shape strategy, drive growth and deliver high‑impact consulting projects for life‑science companies across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own P&L for the China consulting practice, defining strategy, growth targets and performance metrics.
• Identify and win new consulting engagements by understanding client challenges and crafting differentiated proposals.
• Leverage an extensive network to originate opportunities and build lasting relationships with senior life‑science leaders.
• Oversee project delivery to ensure excellence and client satisfaction.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing consulting team.
• Collaborate with the China leadership team, including the GM and strategy leads, to align with broader company priorities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of management and strategy consulting experience at a top‑tier firm.
• Deep expertise in health and life‑science commercial or medical domains.
• Extensive network of senior leaders in top 20 life‑science companies.
• Proven track record of selling consulting services and leading teams of 5‑10+ people.
• Experience designing and implementing digital transformation and commercial improvement programs.
• Broad knowledge of the commercial value chain, including product launch, go‑to‑market strategy, and AI‑driven analytics.
