Thermal Management Design Engineer – Manifold & Sealing

About the role

Join Bosch Group in Shanghai as a Thermal Management Design Engineer focusing on manifold and sealing design. You will work onsite with a joint‑development team from Bosch and UAES to create innovative thermal management modules for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review 3D models, 2D drawings, Design Verification Plan (DVP) reports and DFMEA documents.
• Apply modular design principles (Baukasten) and ensure consistent documentation across projects.
• Collaborate onsite with UAES, develop base designs and adapt them to specific customer projects.
• Assume full technical ownership after onboarding and support an international team in deploying solutions worldwide.
• Coordinate with Bosch GmbH Germany for overall technical target responsibility.

Required profile

• Degree in Energy Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in thermal management product development.
• Strong logical reasoning, goal‑driven mindset and ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Hardworking and able to endure challenging work environments.

Required skills

• Thermal management system design and architecture.
• Selection and integration of thermal management sub‑components, including interface design and compatibility.
• Testing and validation methodologies for thermal systems.
• 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.
• Design Verification Plan (DVP) preparation.
• DFMEA analysis.
