Technical Trainer – DDP (Materials Engineering)

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Technical Trainer for its DDP program in Xi'an. You will deliver specialized training both on‑site and at customer locations, supporting the semiconductor and display equipment business while traveling domestically and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Present technical training courses in‑house and at customer sites, managing classroom and lab activities to meet course objectives.
• Maintain deep product knowledge, develop customized curricula, and certify trainees on multiple platforms.
• Create and improve technical documentation, evaluate instructor performance, and oversee course design approval.
• Provide technical expertise for system repairs, ensure safety retrofits are installed, and troubleshoot equipment to support training goals.
• Coach and mentor junior instructors, build customer relationships, and contribute to sales of training‑related products.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in technical training delivery and instructional system design.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and experience managing multiple projects of varying complexity.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including international trips.
