About the role
We are looking for a System Maintenance Engineer to join our IoT solutions team, ensuring the reliability and performance of our smart utility platforms. The role involves regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of both hardware and software components across our global deployments.
Key responsibilities
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, hardware inspections, and system diagnostics.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
- Conduct performance monitoring and tuning to maximise system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement preventive maintenance plans.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end‑users.
- Document maintenance activities, system configurations, and issue resolutions.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to system maintenance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a System Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role.
- Fluent in English and Urdu.
Required skills
- Experience with containerisation platforms.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as Grafana, ElasticSearch, and Prometheus.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities.
