Full Stack Engineer

About the role

As a Full Stack Engineer in the Global Digital Factory ECO (G‑ECO/MD), you will develop and operate modern web applications used by BASF Coatings and external customers. You will work in an agile DevOps team, delivering both intranet and internet solutions that meet high quality and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend components using Angular (10+) and RxJS.
• Implement backend services with Java (8+), Spring, and Spring Boot in a microservice architecture.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and distributed developers to translate ideas into live features.
• Write unit and integration tests, and ensure code quality through reviews and standards.
• Deploy applications via CI/CD pipelines, using Docker and Kubernetes containers.
• Document architecture decisions, API specifications, and runbooks for maintainability.
• Monitor performance, support automated testing, and contribute to DevOps activities as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in computer or information science or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Proven expertise in Angular, RxJS, and modern frontend patterns (e.g., NgRx).
• Hands‑on knowledge of microservice design, RESTful APIs, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
