Sunset Bar Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sunset Bar Supervisor to lead the Sunset Bar team at Mandarin Oriental Sanya. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high service standards, and supporting the overall Food & Beverage objectives of the resort.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Sunset Bar, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance and smooth service flow.
• Supervise and coach bar staff, manage scheduling, recruitment and training.
• Monitor guest satisfaction by visiting tables, handling feedback and ensuring prompt service.
• Maintain optimal staffing levels and coordinate with the Restaurant Manager on shift planning.
• Enforce hotel policies, conduct daily briefings and uphold the brand’s guiding principles.
• Assist with monthly departmental meetings and contribute to pre‑opening and post‑opening targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a hotel or upscale bar environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality guest service and upholding brand standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Ability to sell and promote bar products.
• Competence in staff coaching, performance management and disciplinary procedures.
