Senior Medical Science Manager - LC&GI (Hangzhou)

About the role

Roche is hiring a Senior Medical Science Manager for its LC&GI (Liver, Cholangio, GI) therapeutic area in Hangzhou. The role is field-based, supporting medical strategy development and execution for the assigned disease area and related biomarkers under the leadership of the Medical Science Manager Leader, with about 25-50% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor the field medical plan and define a short-to-long term vision, including scientific communications and strategic partnerships with TAEs
• Build long-term peer-to-peer relationships with TAEs and investigators, collect their insights and maintain an updated TAE profile
• Provide scientific support for medical training, scientific queries and speaker materials, and contribute to advisory boards
• Lead local innovative business models, such as a regional pathology referral centre, and support site feasibility, trial enrolment and investigator engagement for Phase I-IIIa studies
• Generate access evidence, including RWE, clinical studies and data for local economic models, and handle Investigator Information Sheets in line with local law
• Translate clinical evidence into local value messages, deliver medical training and education programmes, and support Market Access colleagues with value dossiers
• Ensure all medical initiatives comply with Roche SOPs, codes and local regulations

Required profile

• Master's degree or above in Clinical Medicine, Pharma or Bioscience (Clinical Medicine preferred); bioscience candidates need at least 2 years of pharma experience in a medical-related role
• Experience in the assigned therapeutic area strongly preferred; presentation experience preferred
• At least 2 years' experience in an equivalent medical function role in a pharmaceutical company
• Strong medical expertise in the assigned disease area, data generation skills and project management ability
