About the role

Springer Nature is looking for a proactive Senior Software Developer to join its China Tech Hub in Shanghai. You will help customise and integrate China‑specific solutions into the company’s global digital platforms, bridging local user needs with worldwide services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with China‑based solution architects to adapt global repositories for local requirements.
• Develop localized features and façade APIs on top of existing global interfaces.
• Support frontend and API integrations to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Act as the technical liaison between Chinese teams and global engineering partners.
• Troubleshoot and triage support cases for China‑focused projects.
• Work with platform engineers to deploy and maintain China‑specific solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration between local features and global APIs.

Required profile

• Proactive and experienced senior software developer with several years of full‑stack development experience.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with teams across China and Europe.
• Strong communication skills to act as a bridge between local and global teams.
