Senior Cargo Assistant – Guangzhou

About the role

The Senior Cargo Assistant will provide superior service to existing and potential customers, supporting cargo operations and ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards at the Guangzhou station.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee GHA service, ensuring adherence to Emirates standards, load control, safety and flight instructions.
• Process import cargo receipts, resolve related issues and prepare accurate cargo documentation.
• Update flight handling reports, identify irregularities and dispatch post‑flight information to relevant departments.
• Handle cargo telephone reservations, resolve customer queries, complaints and claims, and provide coaching to Cargo Agents.

Required profile

• Minimum GCSE or equivalent education.
• At least 3 years of experience in airline/cargo operations, including 2 years as a Cargo Agent.
• Fluency in English and the local language.
• Legal right to live and work in China.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations (DG certificate preferred).
• Understanding of Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal regulations.
• Proficiency with PC applications: Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
