Senior Business Tax Consultant (Chengdu)

About the role

Deloitte China is seeking a Senior Business Tax Consultant to join its Business Tax practice in Chengdu. You will work closely with senior leadership and clients to deliver high‑quality tax compliance, reporting and planning services while leveraging technology to create strategic value.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical tax knowledge to support client compliance and reporting projects.
• Draft reports, identify key issues and risks, and propose practical tax planning and implementation solutions.
• Prepare recommendations for tax administration, appeals processes, and advisory services.
• Guide the full Business Tax project lifecycle, including research, drafting responses to tax authorities, and delivering implementation strategies.
• Analyze data, select appropriate methodologies, and develop informed recommendations for clients.
• Communicate how technology enhances tax operations and ensure appropriate tools are used on engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in tax, accounting, finance, law or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification, PRC‑registered tax agent or lawyer certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax function within a CPA firm (Big 4 preferred), law firm, tax authority or large corporation.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of local and international tax legislation.
• Strong analytical abilities and a commitment to high‑quality delivery.
