Senior Assistant Director, Chinese Executive Education Partnerships

About the role

Nanyang Business School (NBS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is seeking a Senior Assistant Director (Business Development - Joint Executive Education) to be primarily based in Beijing, China. Based in the ASEAN & China Programmes Office, the role supports the growth of the executive education portfolio through joint programmes with partner universities, complementing open-enrolment activities by strengthening institution-to-institution partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, assess and develop joint executive education opportunities with partner universities, mainly in China, and lead collaboration with academic directors and faculty on themes, audiences and delivery formats.
• Serve as the primary working-level contact for partner universities, keeping them aligned on objectives, timelines and expectations, and resolving operational issues.
• Lead commercial structuring, including pricing strategy, cost-sharing models and revenue frameworks, and drive financial viability assessments with finance and operations teams.
• Shape programme design and positioning using market intelligence and client needs, and refine curricula based on participant and partner feedback.
• Coordinate across academic, marketing, finance, operations and programme teams, provide pipeline analysis and partner intelligence to leadership, and share best practices across teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in business development, executive education, programme development, partnerships, stakeholder engagement or professional services.
• Proven experience in university-to-university partnerships and joint executive education programmes.
• Strong knowledge of China's business environment and cross-border executive contexts.
• Bilingual English and Chinese (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Required skills

• Pricing strategy, cost structure evaluation and financial viability assessment.
• Proficiency in business productivity tools such as Word, Excel and presentation software.
• Strong analytical, organisational and programme management capabilities.
