Senior Accountant

About the role

ETAP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Nanjing. You will support the China region by handling end‑to‑end accounting, tax compliance, cash‑flow management and financial reporting for a leading provider of electrical system software.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare original vouchers, record accounting entries, process accounts and generate periodic financial reports.
• Conduct tax filing, payments, assist in tax audits and support tax planning activities.
• Manage company cash flow, monitor liquidity, and produce cash‑budget and utilization analysis.
• Review controls and governance, monitor payment terms, and mitigate bad‑debt risk before contract approval.
• Generate collection performance reports (AR aging, bad‑debt) and proactively manage overdue accounts.
• Enforce expense policies, review reimbursement documents, block out‑of‑budget expenses and provide cost‑saving recommendations.
• Maintain expense ledgers with 100% data accuracy and report key financial metrics to the Financial Manager.
• Consolidate China region financial data using HFM, Sage or other designated systems and deliver monthly/quarterly reports to headquarters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting, tax compliance and cash‑flow management.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work closely with business units and explain finance policies.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and timely reporting.
