Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer ensures the safety and security of guests, staff, and property at the Four Seasons hotel in Guangzhou. Working within a 24‑hour security department, the role involves proactive patrolling, access control, and compliance monitoring to protect the hotel’s luxurious environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol public areas, guest floors, back‑of‑house zones, hotel perimeter, car park and pool to deter unauthorized access.
• Discreetly challenge and verify credentials of individuals who raise suspicion.
• Control staff entrance and perform on‑the‑spot baggage checks for staff and contractors exiting the building.
• Monitor compliance with health‑and‑safety and fire regulations during routine patrols.
• Inspect security of storerooms and other restricted areas regularly.

Required profile

• Ability to work rotating shifts and remain vigilant throughout patrols.
• Strong observational skills and calm response in potentially tense situations.
• Effective communication to interact discreetly with guests, staff, and contractors.
• Physical fitness for regular walking and occasional lifting.
