Regional Director of Finance, Greater China & Mongolia

About the role

The Regional Director of Finance will lead the financial function for Kempinski’s Greater China and Mongolia region, overseeing corporate planning, tax structuring, compliance and the joint‑venture operations of Key International Hotels Management Co., Ltd. The role ensures accurate, timely reporting and drives profitability across existing and pipeline hotels.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures at hotel level.
• Review and assess hotel business plans, five‑year plans and forecasts.
• Monitor hotel performance, conduct risk assessments and ensure segregation of duties.
• Organise audits, peer reviews and task‑force actions, delivering follow‑up plans.
• Lead, evaluate and develop Finance Controllers, maintaining succession plans.
• Maintain relationships with owners, banks and financial institutions.
• Provide pre‑opening and opening support, and assess feasibility studies and P&L projections.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, international standards and the USoALI reporting framework.
• Drive forecast accuracy, meet reporting deadlines and submit capital expenditure budgets.
• Formulate and execute fundraising and financing strategies for regional expansion.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance leadership within the hospitality or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese and Mongolian tax regulations and international accounting standards.
• Proven ability to manage joint‑venture financial structures and large multi‑hotel portfolios.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
