Purchasing Preventive Quality & Release Engineer

About the role

This position is responsible for the approval and release of purchased components used in advanced powertrain projects, including new parts in PEP projects and engineering change requests for fuel‑injection, fuel‑cell electric vehicles, and electric braking or air‑suspension systems. The role works closely with suppliers to ensure manufacturing capability and compliance with Bosch quality standards throughout product development.

Key responsibilities

• Approve and release new and changed purchased parts for commercial vehicle projects.
• Validate supplier manufacturing capability and exercise veto power when necessary.
• Plan and execute preventive quality and release measures for all purchased components.
• Ensure supplier compliance with Bosch quality requirements during development and release phases.
• Participate actively in the product development SE team.
• Collaborate with the project purchasing manager (PPx) to align quality and release activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality, project management, production, or development environments.
• Growth mindset with eagerness to learn in fast‑paced, time‑to‑market settings.

Required skills

• Understanding of supplier quality management processes.
• Familiarity with engineering change request (ECR) procedures.
• Ability to assess manufacturing capabilities of suppliers.
