Proposal Developer 2

About the role

IQVIA, a global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, is looking for a Proposal Developer 2 in Shanghai. The role develops and prepares budgets and proposals for assigned customers, supporting the global sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs), identify the information needed for proposal text and budget, and work with the proposal development team to prepare and finalize proposals.
• Prepare the text and budget for proposals, rebids and related documents, and revise preliminary agreements, budgets and scope of work so that the scope is clear and budgets match it.
• Support other Proposal Developers on assigned opportunities and act as team lead on assigned projects.
• Take part in strategy calls to discuss customer requirements and spot discrepancies in customer information.
• Perform quality control edits on documents and help finalize them before distribution to the customer and internal departments.
• Update corporate databases and tracking reports, and take part in department initiatives.
• May train, coach or mentor new staff, take part in customer meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Management or a related field, with at least 5 years of direct experience in contracts, proposals or industry-specific operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Knowledge of the CRO industry.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and customers.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Understanding of costing models.
• Ability to interpret RFPs and protocols.
