About the role

The Global Client Partner is a senior client leadership role based in Shanghai, responsible for helping Asia-based emerging biopharmaceutical companies, especially those headquartered in China, move from asset development to commercialization and lifecycle growth. As a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams, the partner builds long-term strategic relationships and coordinates IQVIA's capabilities so clients can make key commercial, evidence, market access, medical and launch decisions. The role works closely with CEOs, founders, Chief Commercial Officers, Heads of International Business and other senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

  • Build executive-level relationships with CEOs, founders, CCOs, heads of international business, commercial, market access, medical affairs and business development leaders across assigned Asia-based emerging biopharma accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, bringing a global commercialization perspective and thought leadership to asset, launch, licensing, partnership and growth decisions.
  • Lead strategic engagement around priority assets, covering development milestones, competitive dynamics, launch risks, evidence needs and global expansion.
  • Develop asset-based account strategies aligned with client priorities from late-stage development through launch, international expansion and lifecycle growth.
  • Advise on commercialization strategy, launch readiness, market access, evidence generation and operating model design across the US, Europe, China, Japan and other geographies.
  • Integrate IQVIA Consulting, Analytics, Real World Evidence, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Technology, RDS and Commercial Execution into end-to-end solutions.
  • Shape and sponsor complex, cross-functional opportunities by mobilizing senior IQVIA leaders and subject matter experts across Asia, the US, Europe and global delivery teams.
  • Lead internal account planning and governance across global and regional teams, and represent the client's voice within IQVIA.

Required profile

  • 15+ years of experience in life sciences, commercialization, management consulting, business development or other senior client-facing leadership roles, with preferred global experience with Asia-based or China-headquartered biopharma companies.
  • Deep understanding of drug commercialization, launch, market access, evidence generation and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated success advising emerging biopharma companies and building trusted relationships with CEOs, founders, C-suite leaders, investors and international business leaders.
  • Proven consultative selling and ability to close complex multi-service opportunities, and experience managing both near-term deals and multi-year strategic partnerships.
