Promotional Regulatory Affairs Specialist – China

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Promotional Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join its China Quality & Regulatory Affairs team. You will oversee the review of promotional and advertising assets across China, ensuring compliance with approved labels, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects for China promotional and advertising assets, routing documents through the global review process.
• Review marketing, medical, and scientific materials for China launches to identify compliance risks such as unsupported claims or off‑label promotion.
• Lead MAP meetings and collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Franchise, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Apply written Chinese comprehension to support local commercial teams in asset review.
• Drive adoption and continuous improvement of promotional review workflows while maintaining SOP and GxP compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacy, Communications, Marketing, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in regulatory affairs, promotional/advertising review, compliance operations, or related life‑science environments.
• Strong knowledge of China regulatory market requirements and ability to work with cross‑functional regional stakeholders.
• Fluency in Chinese and advanced English.
• Excellent attention to detail, sound regulatory judgment, and stakeholder‑management skills.
