Project Manager – Shaft Line Repair Services

About the role

Wärtsilä Shaft Line Repair Services (SLRS) is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of vessel repair projects worldwide. You will coordinate all phases from offer to execution, ensuring minimal downtime for commercial and navy vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee complete project delivery, acting as the main contact for all stakeholders.
• Support sales and calculate project costs.
• Manage contracts to meet Wärtsilä’s processes and commitments.
• Lead customer meetings and provide technical reviews of repair procedures, parts manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
• Define sourcing strategies, manage procurement, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate onsite installation, guiding field service engineers, shipyards, and customers.
• Control parts manufacturing, logistics, quality, and delivery.
• Align field service engineers with project scope, specifications, and timelines.
• Contribute to SLRS global vision, defining and implementing best‑practice processes, procedures, and systems.

Required profile

• Passion for advancing SLS end‑to‑end business.
• Relevant technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production, inspection, or project management within the shipbuilding industry or naval equipment manufacturing.
• Experience working with navy users.
